The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 当山田洋次的一部怀旧家庭喜剧看还不错，做松竹100周年纪念？算了。年轻组的部分剧本和演技都非常灾难。整个故事脱离历史语境但又要蹭一下小津们的余晖（倒不如索性直接虚构）、主角这个欲改革制片厂未遂的失败者角色也证明了松竹根本无力回顾自己真正的历史遗产，大岛渚筱田正浩吉田喜重都笑了。

电影节用这部作结真是太美好了，电影万岁！松竹万岁！
我对任何关于创作过程的电影都兴趣十足，本片对电影的热爱是浓烈的，其他的嘛，一般般，框架不错，部分色调很舒服，整体略仓促，导致节奏和结构不太行。宫本信子仍有伊丹十三电影中的熟悉感。
很割裂。一面是世界上不存在同样从基顿点子里诞生出来的《开罗紫玫瑰》的幻想，一面又是新冠对院线的冲击的现实。不论怎样它都无法满足你对山田洋次的期待。
虽然没有山田洋次鼎盛时期的三分之一水准，但女儿念出父亲写的获奖感言时还是被感动了。
这次的山田洋次 比想象的简单（自以为恋爱的时候 所谓“自我意识”就开始了吧
可以说叙事等同于没有。没有叙事动力，只是情怀的堆砌。
放映師說鏡頭與鏡頭之間駐有神明，看到一幕直接噴淚。
结尾的魔幻时刻让人动容，在她温柔眼眸里留下的怀念，誓死维护的对电影的热爱
#BJIFF2021#男主角写出《开罗紫玫瑰》的剧本，到底是不是刻意致敬，最大出戏点。致敬松竹100年，最后还是一条线成为献给妻子的情书，一条线归于失败家族群戏，迷影情怀反倒很无感。
不是很好看，也没太多打动人的东西，爸爸妈妈的表现不太好，爷爷奶奶还可以，可能是Van Morrison的大型长篇MV
冷酷的电影，冷静的喜剧，激动人心的故事
电影中寺大爷开的剧场，剧场取景地是川越スカラ座。
