A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.
一边想用塔罗牌元素、教读心术的师父认为自己真的有神力，来表现鬼神力量，一边结局又用明知老板驯服怪人的圈套又心甘情愿入局的行为去强调人的选择，就很拧巴。甚至关于父亲的死也没有什么反转。🙃
7.5/老版演员都不熟悉，看得昏昏沉沉，但本片总体来说算是一部不错的翻拍、改编，比相近题材的《算牌人》好看。可能是台词写得太直白了，让这个“行骗”的故事没有满足观者的好奇心，所以评价很一般。最后的反转很一般，关键一个小时才出场的布兰切特这位最后的赢家戏份太少了，一切焦点都落在库柏这个大男主上，一点也不“黑色”。
看的时候觉得是个很老派的故事，有种特别的冷酷和直接，原来是翻拍的片子……现在的黑色故事反倒充斥着矫情和虚伪。电影水平非常一般，库柏演得还不错。但是男演员健身过度本体先于角色的存在真的不是啥好风气😑
前面有点拖沓，但是复古质感是真棒

【C】拥有一部翻拍作品的最大美德：只是拿来剧本做底，表达上看不见前作身上的一丝影子，彻彻底底的在解构与重构。srds，最后所呈现的，可以，但没必要。陀螺精心加入了大量的元素，最后却适得其反，试图丰满人物弧线以及服化道具上的精美构造只是画蛇添足，完全忘却了同《水形物语》简单的魅力，最后臃肿不堪。甚至演员的表演都一样，过犹不及。原作的一切都显得那么恰到好处。
好故事，悬念、节奏、背景都扣人心弦，男主角表演有深度，最后几个表情特写和台词功力，印象深刻，一部怀旧的好片子……
原作看得我迷迷糊糊的，陀螺改编版人物造型更加多元，太适合我们脸盲患者了。geek形成了闭环，场景安排和光线色彩很有陀螺特色，但表演其实不及原作。
P.S.很可惜的是因为明天要上班，片子分成两部分看完了

用一个小时为男主交代前史，致使整个电影完全失衡。
【3.0】从好的方面来讲，有区别于旧好莱坞时代的黑色电影过于实感的新鲜观感，一种华丽的黑童话质感，是一眼就能认出来的独属于陀螺的电影风格。从不好的方面来讲，整个故事讲得有够无聊，电影叙事逻辑存在问题，这个剧本也避免不了审美的时效性限制，翻拍本身显得意义不大。
是长了点（前半段注意力很分散我...）但后半段渐入佳境 陀螺的视听风格演绎心理周旋很抓人 （感到Mara似乎被定型在某种character里...
竟然鲁尼和大魔王没搞姬，那这片子拍出来又有什么意义呢？
库珀真的长得不太聪明，但显然能够很有戏的凯特和鲁妮又少了很多戏，于是我不明白为什么要花两个半小时看这个傻大个早已注定的自找倒霉命运游戏
能让我一口气看完这么长的电影，说明这部电影还是很不错。马戏团的戏份凸显导演个人趣味，但实在过于冗长，应当大力删减。凯特布兰切特演绎的蛇蝎女人，是所有演员中发挥最好的。最佳的应该就是摄影了！
德托罗本身不擅长黑色类型片，再加上现在是其创作低谷，一出白开水作品。摄影和布景的精致也显得苍白。
看的津津有味，但有两点我觉得有待商榷，第一是莫莉打了他两巴掌就走了，第二是结尾有点弱，总觉得可以处理的更好。
痴迷行骗到走火入魔，失了挚爱也枉了余生。前一半是boring freak show，后一半渐入佳境。
3.5＋ 对于做一部传统黑色电影翻拍，就别想着去说创作者在人物上没有深度什么屁话，正统黑色电影早已永远留在了40年到50年代末了。陀螺将自己特有的味道留下了一部怀旧片，对于黑色电影影迷来说或许不够好，那个年代的味道不是服化道美术能够替代的，后期调光更不用说了，演员表演的方式也在改变，纯粹的已经不在。如今当代黑色电影风格是一种活络的技法，它不在单一成为风格化形式表现，虽然可以在类型片做到各种融合，但人成为了最重要也是最难的一个融合。
