A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

老版歌舞就浮夸过头，新版还在沿用，而且对于拉丁裔的呈现反而更加强化了刻板印象，口音增强实在受不了，好莱坞银幕上的拉丁裔不愧是比亚裔还要更弱势的群体。故事很明显就是白人圣母视角。画面滤镜感显的廉价，老版视觉基本碾压。
三星都打给歌舞呈现和布景服装。2021年了，能不能不要再讲罗密欧朱丽叶式的一见钟情私定终身的愚蠢爱情故事了，加上拉垮的表演，完全没有办法共情男女主，只觉得十分脑残
我听不出来安塞尔唱的好坏，当年悲惨世界都说罗素唱得差，我也听不出来，只听出来阿曼达气喘🌚
两个主角虽然饱受诟病但是我感觉也能勉强及格（但是评分扑成这样和俩主演真的关系很大，如果换人演效果应该会更好）女配真的太耀眼了，奥斯卡女配应该没跑了。
光影讲究，编舞精美，复古华丽，真的不比61版差，史匹堡的行活水平还是没丢的，最喜欢america那场戏。英王乔治和子弹姐姐客串，《汉密尔顿》粉丝狂喜。问题就是不论故事还是调度，对比隔壁《倒数时刻》实在过于过时了。
剧情一般，歌曲舞蹈也一般，比较长，几度睡在电影院里。
音乐、舞蹈、摄影都没得说，光影魔法。教堂场景美翻了。小瑞秋唱功极佳。
男主角每次唱歌我都在吐血，这不是LA La Land那种伪歌舞片，好歹也是大美利坚国粹吧。专业活太业余就算了，这对男女化学反应也为零。但老斯的镜头调度和舞者们的表现都是行业标杆，被两粒老鼠屎给…
3.5 斯皮尔伯格对纽约街区的空间人物调度都特别出色，且用一种较新的电影技术投入其中。单拎几个舞蹈段落都令人眼前一亮，不过问题在于配角的风采完全盖过了两位主角，这使得两位年轻主角的恋爱故事从一种令人白眼的恋爱闹到结局的荒谬悲剧。
赏心悦目，这样剪辑与调度配合的镜头语言去表现歌舞之美的歌舞片才足以称之为电影，百老汇舞台做不到的林肯中心银幕能做到。比老版电影好看很多。缺点就是内核方面不太求上进吧，爱情故事本来就比较老派简单，还保留了一些仍然令人挠头的细节——比如哥哥刚死俩人就滚床单啥的，然后就是勤劳的新移民和游手好闲的本地废青之间的冲突在现在也不过时啊，可惜这部片没有想着去做一些深化改编。最后在林肯中心看一场虚构在林肯中心的都市故事实在有趣。
当运镜、剪辑、构图、打灯、色彩、声效、舞蹈、服化道这些视听语言凝聚在斯皮尔伯格的妙手中而绽放出耀眼的光焰时，由衷感叹到「电影如此曼妙」。然而，当看到心爱之人手上残有至亲温血，却还能与其颠鸾倒凤的爱情戏码，实在叫人难以理解和共情——从这一刻开始，我内心百般煎熬。不管不顾，相信一见钟情的白人男子就是至高真爱，放在20世纪50年代乃至现在，根性里是父权与白人的优越感。不得不提一嘴女二，其表演极具丰富的层次感，狠狠地越过「用表情假扮角色」的门槛，已达「以神情与角色共生」的层次，赋予了角色饱满的生命力；更不用说她那热力四射的舞姿。能提名奥斯卡最佳女配实至名归，就算最终夺奖也毫不出奇。
好看哭了！这是部精雕细琢出来的艺术品，Bernstein的交响乐一上来真的是嗨爆了，不知道如果Ansel没出事的话票房会不会不至于那么惨~
Ansel的Tony真的不行，人也不行，歌也不行，演戏也不行。（最不济，换Adam Kaplan演我都认了）Riff, Anita和Bernado都太棒了😭还能看到好多报童男孩…Rachel妹子人美歌甜！DeBose舞蹈力度超绝，看A Bronx Tale的时候就很喜欢她。
Literally WTF. Ridiculous storyline… Ansel Elgort’s performance… and the gangsters in the 60s sashayed like they were Mama Ru’s children? But also, such great supportive acting, dance numbers, and production design. Alas, a long sigh.
故事本身就不太能喜欢起来，但是斯皮尔伯格打破了原作的舞台剧感，光影也有所升级，有几个镜头的调度水平依旧很好，但是就像网友说的，这个翻拍没啥必要。

这剧情实在感动不起来 甚至觉得里面的每个角色都太幼稚了 没看过老版 对这版无感且无聊透顶 不敢相信是史蒂文斯皮尔伯格的电影（男主演技太烂了 女主倒还行 但也没到好这个境界）
斯皮尔伯格导得很好，男女配（哥哥和嫂子）的舞挺好看的，而且哥哥帅！男主女主的歌舞（特别是舞）太差了，而且有很多时候是很尬的歌舞...不过归根结底我觉得是这个故事本身太无法让我很难喜欢吧，歌也是...再者灯光有点有力过猛了，失真严重且破坏美感。
开场就惊艳的镜头调度，加上几场颇有意思的决斗，即使有部分听不懂的西班牙语也不影响整体效果。只要忽略男女主的尴尬演技和老掉牙的故事，好好欣赏歌舞，不失为一部好电影。斯皮尔伯格很适合拍这类“故事和主题都陈旧”的电影，Anita真是美。
